IP camera

An Internet protocol camera, or IP camera, is a type of digital video camera commonly employed for surveillance security systems, and which, unlike analog closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras, can send and receive data via a computer or laptop network and the Internet. Dahua DVR Problem - Changing ip address, HACKED, Password Lock and no display after online

We have a Dahua DVR DH-DVR5116H and other model, the problem is  changing ip address, the port numbers, PPPoE user name, HACKED, Password Lock and no display after online. we have reset it to default and everything backed to normal and we have changed everything and we are wait for 2 hours and the same thing happened again, we thought someone is hacking it but when we check in the logs there was my login at that current time we logged in and out and present the time we logged in. The technicians said is firmware update, we update the new firmware for the current version.


Tip for you and solve this problem

(1) There is a group of people hacking into Dahua DVR's all over the world, we are experiencing allot here is Gujarat, what you need to do is disconnect your DVR from the network, do a complete factory default, add two new users and passwords , delete the admin user, change ports and upgrade your firmware before connecting it back to the internet.

(2) if you connect dvr with internet and after some time no display in dvr,

      a) first contact to service center and repair it
      b) secound contact to technician of company  for security firmware update.
      c) do online only P2P ( for security ) if your dvr not support p2p you can use other service

Closed-circuit television (CCTV), also known as video surveillance, is the use ofvideo camera  to transmit a signal to a specific place, on a limited set of monitors. It differs frombroadcast television  in that the signal is not openly transmitted, though it may employ point to point (P2P), point to multipoint (P2MP), or  mesh wired or wireless links. Though almost all video cameras fit this definition, the term is most often applied to those used for surveillance  in areas that may need monitoring such as bars, banks, casinos, schools, hotels, airports, hospitals, restaurants, military installations, convenience stores and other areas where security is needed. ThoughVideotelephony  is seldom called "CCTV" one exception is the use of video indistance education, where it is an important tool.
Surveillance of the public using CCTV is common in many areas around the world. In recent years, the use of body worn video  cameras has been introduced as a new form of surveillance, often used in law enforcement, with cameras located on a police officer's chest or head.Video surveillance has generated significant debate about balancing its use with individuals' right to privacy  even when in public.
In industrial plants, CCTV equipment may be used to observe parts of a process from a central control room, for example when the environment is not suitable for humans. CCTV systems may operate continuously or only as required to monitor a particular event. A more advanced form of CCTV, utilizing digital video recorders  (DVRs), provides recording for possibly many years, with a variety of quality and performance options and extra features (such as motion detection and email alerts). More recently, decentralized IP cameras, some equipped with megapixel sensors, support recording directly to network-attached storage  devices, or internal flash for completely stand-alone operation.
There are about 350 million surveillance cameras worldwide as of 2016. About 65% of these cameras are installed in Asia. The growth of CCTV has been slowing in recent years.

CCTV DVR admin password Reset 

Whether you have lost your password of your DAHUA device(or devices) or can’t remember it, we can assist you – providing both instructions and a unique, temporary password (valid only one day). You don’t have to open the device, no settings are reset and you will not lose any information.
You will have to get physical access to the device and follow our instructions using a mouse connected via USB port.
 
The password will not reset if you remove the battery, because it’s not stored in the way it’s stored in a BIOS. This will only reset your clock and make your life harder(maybe impossible) trying to get a master password.

(1) To reset password of your CCTV DVR press and hold the ENTER button for 15 to 30 second until the DVR restart's. After the restart you DVR default wizard will come up the same way like if you are setting up the DVR for the first time.
